Veterans Roll of Honor: CHARLES J. PEASE

Branch of Service: United States Navy

Rate: Fireman First Class

Service history: F1c Charles J. Pease of Blanchester, Ohio served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Randolph (CV-15) from it’s commissioning in 1944 through the end of the war. The Randolph took part in the invasion of Iwo Jima, and was hit by a Kamikaze a month later. After repairs, she took part in the invasion of Okinawa, continuing to launch airstrikes up until the Japanese surrender.
