Veterans Roll of Honor: RICHARD F. DURIG

Rank: Private First Class

Service history: PFC Durig was born in Niles, Ohio and enlisted in the Army in March 1944. He served as a Rifleman in Company G, 386th Infantry Regiment, 97th Infantry Division in France, Germany and Czechoslovakia. After the German capitulation he was sent to the Pacific Theater, serving with the First Cavalry Division in Japan.
