Veterans Roll of Honor: DONALD A. SNYDER

Branch of Service: United States Army

Rank: Staff Sergeant

Service history: Sergeant Snyder served in the Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He made the jump into Normandy on D-Day, and was wounded the next day. He remained with the Screaming Eagles and made the jump into Holland as part of Operation MARKET-GARDEN. He also took part in the defense of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge, and was present at the liberation of the slave labor camp at Landsberg, Germany.
