10 year anniversary events:

    To commemorate our tenth anniversary we've scheduled a series of events and displays each month throughout 2017 to highlight a particular event or person in our Nation's military history. Check back often (and visit our Facebook page) for updates - we're looking forward to seeing you at the Museum!

  • 25 January 2017: 10th anniversary kick off with a “Get To Know Us Campaign” table in the lobby of the Patient Tower.

  • February 2017: Black History Month display featuring the uniform of Lieutenant Colonel Charity Adams-Earley, highest ranking black female in WWII along with other black Veteran's artifacts.

  • March 2017: Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home and Pinning Ceremony.

  • April 2017: Special display highlighting the United States entry into World War One.

  • May 2017: End of World War II in Europe: Captured German artifacts display.

  • June 2017: Special display highlighting the June 6th 1944 D-Day invasion.

  • July 2017: Independence Day Open House.

  • August 2017: Special display highlighting Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombing artifacts.

  • September 2017: Patriot Day and National POW/MIA Day Open Houses.

  • October 2017: Special display highlighting the start of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

  • November 2017: Veterans Day Open House.

  • December 2017: Special display highlighting the December 7th 1941 attack upon Pearl Harbor.
